Election Forum/Hustings for Corringham and Stanford-le-Hope area - this Tuesday

In conjunction with a number of other local churches we are backing an Election Forum to be held this coming Tuesday evening (20th April) at St Margaret’s Church, Stanford-le-Hope, from 7.30pm to 9.00pm.

This promises to be an interesting evening and one where we both get to hear from prospective local MP’s and Councilors, but to also address them, influence them and pray for them. If you’re one of those people who does not quite ‘get’ politics, or is disinterested, this might be a good opportunity for you to gain some insights and understanding of how things work, and begin to use your Godly influence.

Hopefully you might be able to join us, but if not you can still submit questions to be asked on the night. Simply go to http://www.thurrockcf.org.uk/notices/events/ and enter your question. It would be beneficial to have a number of questions from Christians in the area, and we’ll have representatives from all the main parties taking part.

To date Angela Smith (Labour), Stephen Metcalfe (Conservative) and Geoff Williams (Liberal Democratcs) are the Parliamentary candidates joining us. Local Candidates Phillip Anderson (Conservative - Corringham Town & SLH East), James Halden (Conservative - Homesteads) and Phil Smith (Labour - Corringham Town & SLH East) are also with us.

Our Prayer Meeting & Bible Study will also run as normal on Tuesday evening from 7.45pm - 9.30pm.
